Jakob Brøns is Awarded Danish 1st Place

Every year "Maskinmestrenes Forening", which is a Danish association for marine engineers and technical managers, elects the best bachelor thesis among the graduating Bachelors of Technology Management and Marine Engineering in Denmark. This year Jakob Brøns won first prize for his bachelor thesis working together with Green Instruments. The thesis is about the realization of a PAH monitor.

Yesterday, he went to Maskinmestrenes Forening's annual general meeting where he received prize and diploma.

Jakob started as an intern in Green Instruments development department in August 2012. During his internship, he worked on developing an instrument that can monitor the concentration of health damaging pollutants in wash water from marine SOx scrubbers. Jakob chose a part of the development project (PAH) to be the topic of his bachelor thesis.

After he graduated in January he was permanently employed as Development Engineer. He is now continuing with the project to realize the product so it can be commercialized soon.

The goal is to develop a total monitoring solution for wash water from marine scrubbers that is easy to calibrate and that requires minimum maintenance.
